M. Steven Rastin

Steve is the principal lawyer of Rastin & Associates which serves clients throughout Central Ontario. His practice is restricted to civil litigation and labour and employment law. He has argued cases before all levels of courts from the Superior Court to the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before numerous tribunals including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Pension Appeals Board, Pay Equity Commission, Workplace Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board and others.

Steve is a regular contributor at conferences and has several publications in the legal field. He is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates Society, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association where he is currently Chair of the LTD Section. He is also very involved in his community were he is President-Elect of the Rotary Club, a past member of the Police Services Board, and past Chair of both the Huronia District Hospital and the Ministry of Health’s Hospital Network 1.

When not engaged in the practice of law, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, playing basketball with his boys, and watching his daughter horseback ride.
